Future Leaders Program

The IOTA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2025 launch of a new IOTA endeavor: the IOTA Future Leaders Program. This program seeks to form clergy, lay leaders, and scholars who are locally dedicated, globally educated, and prepared to serve the Church of the third millennium in a changing world.

IOTA’s Future Leaders Program partners with major theological institutions worldwide to offer study-abroad opportunities for Orthodox clergy and emerging scholars. Find out more about our strategic partnerships with the Johann Adam Moehler Institute for Ecumenism, KU Leuven Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, Volos Summer Institute, and St. Athanasius College. If you are a current post-graduate student, be sure to learn more about our IOTA Scholars Exchange Program.

IOTA Receives $82,000 for Future Leaders

The Board of Directors wishes to express our profound gratitude to the benefactors, whose generous contributions to IOTA Future Leaders Program have enabled us to receive a $82,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor. To-date, this is the largest amount IOTA has received from a single benefactor. The grant has helped to make the Volos Summer Institute and Georgian Winter Institute possible.

Future Funding Goals

In order to support different modules of the Future Leaders Program going forward, IOTA needs to raise $200,000 annually. Please spread the word and support the program by making a gift to IOTA Future Leaders on this page. This gift will have a transformative impact upon the shape of IOTA’s ecumenical education for emerging leaders. We are deeply grateful for support from individuals or organizations at any level.
