IOTA Travel Expenses

All travel expenses are the responsibility of conference attendees. A limited number of travel grants will be made available for presenters who are graduate students or scholars-in-need.

Fees & Registration

  • IOTA Membership Fee$45
  • Early Bird Registration Fee€150
  • Early Bird Student Registration Fee€75
Note: The actual conference cost is approximately €600 per participant. Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, IOTA is able to subsidize this cost by 50% to 88%.

Accommodation

  • Single-use hotel room in Kobuleti (per night)$50–$120

Meals

  • Approximate cost of lunches and dinners (per meal)$10–$25

Airfare

  • Economy class return ticket from major European cities to Batumi Airport€250–€600
  • Economy class return ticket from major North American cities to Batumi Airport$1,200+

Airfare costs will fluctuate depending on the date of purchase.

Airport Transfers

The cost of airport coach transfers from Batumi and Kutaisi airports to and from the conference hotels will be covered by New Georgian University during the regular arrival and departure dates of the conference: January 16, 17, 21, and 22. Free coach transfers will not be available on other dates.
