What is IOTA Publications?
IOTA Publications is a department within the International Orthodox Theological Association. We seek to advance IOTA’s mission by bringing out cutting-edge scholarship pertinent to Orthodox Christian Studies as well as books about the Orthodox faith and practice accessible to the general public.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board of the IOTA Publications consists of fifty internationally respected Orthodox scholars, who also serve as IOTA group chairs. Given such a strong backing by experts, IOTA Publications is poised to become the gold standard of Orthodox Christian scholarship worldwide.
Why publish with IOTA?
Our staff has extensive experience of publishing with the leading presses. We will market your work in the US and internationally via IOTA Newsletters and by our Co-Laborer Organizations. We can also guarantee that your book will be discussed at the IOTA conferences, which meet every four years. All accepted typescripts will be published in electronic and paper formats simultaneously and disseminated on the IOTA website as well as sold online at IOTA’s bookstore on Amazon.com. We guarantee that your book will be published within six months from the submission of the final typescript.
How to submit a proposal
IOTA Publications welcomes book proposals from established and new authors. Your proposal needs to be 1,500-3,000 words in length, discuss the book’s content, target audience, similar works in print (competition), and target date of completion. In addition to your 3,000-word proposal, please include your CV and the book’s table of contents. Send your proposal to [email protected].

For the presentation of footnotes, bibliography, and stylistic guidelines please consult the attached four-page style guide. As a general rule, IOTA Publications follows Chicago Manual of Style.
